Regional long-term and localized short-term coastal environmental geomorphology inventories.

Abstract

Applied coastal research requires the long-term (> 1 yr) collection of data in which air photo analysis is useful. This is illustrated from the Rhode Island coast (average rate of beach erosion 0.2m yr-1). Changes are related to hindcast waves from meteorological data including wave refraction analysis.
