Abstract

The present study on polymer coating revealed that the seed coated with polymer @ 4 g kg -1 seed has increased the germination to 89 per cent followed by seeds coated with polymer @ 3 g kg -1 seed (87 per cent). The other parameters like root length, shoot length, drymatter production and vigour index were also higher in seeds coated with polymer @ 4 g kg -1 seed.
