Abstract

Psychoinformatics refers to the new collaboration between the disciplines computer science and psychology to study psychological phenotypes by means of data mining. This chapter gives an overview of how Psychoinformatics can aid research and therapy in the context of Internet addiction. In particular, applications on smartphones are highlighted, which track the online behavior of humans on their digital devices.
