Abstract

The status and distribution of oxpeckers in the Kavango and Caprivi are presented. The redbilled oxpecker is the predominant species in the Kavan go. In the Caprivi the yellowbilled oxpecker is predominant along the river courses and in the floodplains. The dominant host throughout was cattle.
