This paper develops e-cosmetic business-to-business solutions based on strategic value chain management analysis. Specifically, it first investigates the e-business adoption in the major activities involved in the cosmetic business based on strategic value chain analysis. Then, it decomposes these activities into a set of implementable business-to-business solutions. Finally, the implementation patterns of these solutions for the top ten companies are analyzed. The results will be helpful in accelerating e-business adoption in the cosmetic business. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
