Due to its potential and proven impact on healthcare, more researchers and indus- tries have become involved with it; moreover, engineers, scientists, and healthcare professionals have been collaborating to solve fundamental problems in the health- care system, thus causing a deep systematic and progressive transformation. Edited by a connoisseur in the field (Sasan Adibi) and written by authors with a very diverse range of expertise, this book provides the readers with technology- inspired perspectives on mHealth, and presents an important transforming force in both the healthcare industry and the field of mobile technologies. I recommend this book to all my colleagues, both in the academia and industry, who are interested in health informatics.
