Abstract

In this paper, the quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) was used to evaluate the performance in professional soccer striker and forward. Each of the ten players was recorded the QEEGs for three times; twice before the competition (once a week) and a week after the competition. The results of the delta frequency band illustrated that the higher performance players had more connectivity compared to before competition and normal condition (after competition). This reveals the efficient immediate decision making index in term of the brain connectivity (Coherence). Moreover, the QEEG coherence and the average performance score from coach were also synchronized. According to these results, we can conclude that the QEEG coherence could be efficiently used to predict the performance of the sport player during the competition.
