Abstract

Pressure-induced changes in hydrogen bonds in minerals are relevant for an understanding of a variety of processes. They can be studied by diffraction and spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations. Here, the current state-of-the-art of experimental and modeling approaches is discussed. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
