Abstract

The goal of the present work is to encourage a reflection on how the disposition of educational spaces affects our experience of attitudes related to the know-how of “being.” We propose an artistic action we’ve termed “(occupational) spaces and (being) places.” It employs performance as a tool of mediation between space and its cross contents related to emotional intelligence. Data, obtained from this artistic process, is analyzed through the investigation-action method, through the combined use of three different techniques: graphic document analysis, participant observation and interviews. The results we obtained were processed into creative stories and were made to converse amongst themselves, in accordance to the scope governing our study’s subjects. In conclusion, we consider performance an artistic practice that can ease attitudinal learning related to emotional and social intelligence.
