Abstract

This chapter provides a comprehensive overview and evaluation of research on Ukrainian migration to Spain. Key data sources for Ukrainians in Spain are discussed, existing conceptual and empirical tools applied to research on this migrant group are critically assessed and the value of the knowledge acquired is examined. The literature review identifies three main subject areas on which researchers have focused: social and demographic characteristics; socio-economic and cultural integration; and mobility patterns and transnational behaviour of this population.
