Close to the entrance of the city of Sevilla where the Santa Maria la Blanca church stands is the location of the Grand synagogue of the Jewish quarter (1248 and 1391) and previous to the synagogue, a mosque. Up to today no vestiges neither of the synagogue nor of the mosque have been confirmed, except for a few scanty remains formed by a few columns and two capitals. The author's work of the last years immediately after the church's restoration, have revealed structures and remains of the previous stages of the building. The present article describes and documents graphically the vestiges of the two earlier structures.
