Abstract

The effects of climate change on stormwater management are not well understood. The present study investigates changes in precipitation in Tehran by taking the LARS-WG. The result indicated that precipitation will on average decrease in Tehran. However, the amount of heavy rains will increase. Based on generated data, design storms are simulated under SRES A1B climate change scenario for two strategies including BMPs approach, in the 13-district of Tehran as a case study using the SWMM model. Two decision making approaches are used to quantify the results. This methodology identifies combination of existing canals and BMPs as better strategy.
