Abstract

Various aspects of (recombinant) baculovirus production in insect-cell cultures are discussed. After a general introduction, the biology and the factors affecting the replication of the virus are covered. Then design considerations and production levels are discussed in view of large-scale production. Finally, the first attempts in modelling this complex process are treated.
