Abstract

This chapter describes the lessons learned from designing, deploying and analysing the results from a smartphone applications, sbNavi (TM), in measuring door-to-door, multi-modal, travel satisfaction across eight different European cities. In this chapter, the process, the architecture design and the pros and cons of deploying such app are described. Challenges from technical and practical point of views are then discussed and the comparability of the results, compared to other survey methods, is presented.
