Abstract

When Simone de Beauvoir wrote The Second Sex in 1949 she could hardly have imagined the influence her thinking would have on feminist philosophy. Among other things she could hardly have imagined that there would exist something called feminist philosophy with at least as many dimensions as there are volumes in The Feminist Philosophy Collection. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
