Abstract

Digital transformation has prompted some organizations to use a service business model that does not require the purchase of a product but, rather, use of their services. Software-as-a-service (SaaS) is a method by which service providers meet the needs of their clients via an internet server. A look at consumers' reactions to the games-as-a-service (GaaS) business model used in the computer games industry illustrates how the model has transformed the industry. It also highlights the importance of timeliness, transparency, and creativity in any SaaS business's efforts to attract and retain customers and optimize profitability.
