Abstract

In this paper, we have discussed how decision tree leaning approach can be used for defect as Problem and it's classification for quality control in software project. The proposed technique in this paper is a fertile ground for classification of the defects in different categories identified by means of root cause analysis that means the popular fishbone diagram. Causal analysis plays a pivotal role in the quality control of software projects. However the opposed approach presented in this paper will certainly explore new arena for research that how machine learning could be integrated with the quality control activities for efficient software project management. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
