Abstract

As a result of the growing importance of the processes of globalization, the internationalization of enterprises and TNC production has a very big capital production, which generates huge profits. The income of TNC often exceeds the value of GDP of countries that are avaragely developed. The main purpose of this article is to show the transnational corporations (TNCs) in the global economy. The indroduction presents concisely the essence of globalization and deep globalization integration, in those the main role played by TNCs. The article provides an analysis of corporations at two levels: theoretical and historical (definitions and development of TNCs and EDI over the last decades) and geographical (location of TNCs and foreign affiliates). The last part of the article shows the asymmery of economic power of TNCs from developed and developing economies. The author presents the importance of TNCs mainly on the basis of statistical publications of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), especially the World Investmment Report.(original abstract)
