Abstract

The article reveals the general principles of the use of music in the prevention of psychosomatic diseases. This tradition has a long history dating back to ancient times. The urgency of introducing into the music education system the study of the possibilities of music therapy in health promotion in accordance with the international experience of using music for health purposes is substantiated. The connection of music therapy with psychosomatic medicine is traced, which explains the occurrence of somatic diseases under the influence of negative experiences and stressful situations. Music therapy is considered as an effective remedy by which a person’s emotional manifestations can be harmonized and directed to positive goals. It is shown that it has great possibilities in the correction of emotional states and therefore can be successfully applied in the treatment of psychosomatic diseases. The influence of choral singing on the improvement of health and well­being, the awakening of healing experiences of unity, spiritual revival, energy and feelings among the participants of musical meetings and classes is particularly noted. These are the goals and objectives that are set before modern anti­aging medicine aimed at achieving a prosperous and comfortable longevity.
