Privacy Impact Assessment in New Zealand – A Practitioner’s Perspective

Abstract

This chapter takes a non-scholarly look at privacy impact assessment from the perspective of a law practitioner with some experience in undertaking such assessments. It starts with a history of the concept in New Zealand, and looks at the regulatory and administrative environment in which it emerged.
