Abstract

Six amorphous-silicon solar panels have been tested and evaluated. They are rated at 10W peak power each, at lkW/m2 insolation. After analyzing the experimental data, we conclude that the one exponential term model, (either including the series resistance in the equivalent circuit or not), describes satisfactorily the performance of the solar cells under several irradiance levels. Other results, such as solar panel maximum efficiency, fill factor and performance characteristic are available.
