Abstract

Frederik Pieter (Frits) Agterberg has written over 250 publications in the field of geomathematics during the past 50 years. He played a major role in the International Association of Mathematical Geology since its inception in 1968, and strongly influenced the development of geomathematics worldwide. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
