Abstract
This chapter deals with the research design and protocols of the research. It outlines the universe (a comparison of Germany, Pakistan and South Africa), the unit of analysis (juveniles 16–21), the tools (interview guidelines), and techniques of the data collection process (in-depth interviews). This chapter also documents the tools and techniques of the data analysis (MAXQDA 18). It also sets out the sample size (30 interviews from each country) and the ten expert interviews conducted in each country. Finally, the analytical outline of the code of the street is presented.
