Abstract

Behavioral problems in children with developmental disorders might be recognized differently by parents and teachers. To assess this hypothesis, the same checklist created by authors was fulfilled by both parents and teachers of the same 45 children with developmental disorders. Most parents agreed that their children had problems on attention, while many teachers reported that these children had problems on hyperactivity and interpersonal communication. Acknowledging this discrepancy on the perception between parents and teachers is expected to be useful information for physicians to diagnose and support children with developmental disorders.
