Functionalized Tertiary Amines as SO2 absorbents

Abstract

Nitrile-functionalized amines, including 3-(N,N-diethylamino)propionitrile, 3-(N,N-dibutylamino)propionitrile, and N-methyl-N,N-dipropionitrile amine were synthesized, and their interaction behaviours with SO2 were compared with those of hydroxyl-functionalized amines by experimental, spectroscopic, and computational methods.
