Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze the principles of quality management in distance studies of private universities in the state of Zulia. The research is descriptive with a transectional, non-experimental and field design. The population was made up of private universities with distance learning modalities located in the state of Zulia. The key informants were deans, school directors, supervisors and coordinators of Distance Studies approached using a data collection instrument with 69 items directly related to the variable, dimensions and indicators. This instrument was subjected to validity by the judgment of five experts and through the Cronbach’s Alpha method, reliability of 0.97 was obtained. For the quantitative analysis, the results were presented in frequency tables. It was concluded that the principles of quality management are very favorably present in the distance study departments of private universities in the state of Zulia.
