Abstract

Germain explains how narcissism manifests itself in leaders and managers---how first impressions progressively morph and reveal interpersonal relationship deficiencies, inflate an individual's sense of his/her ability to lead, and minimize effectiveness. After highlighting the prominence of NPD in specific fields such as sports, politics, and the media, ``Narcissism in Leadership and Management'' details the human and financial cost that NPD employees have on organizations.
