Abstract

In this paper, we examine a number of minimal change musical morpholo-gies. Each morphology has an analogous representation in mathematics. Our math-ematical objects of study are Gray codes, de Bruijn sequences, aperiodic necklaces, disjoint subset pairs, and multiset permutations with musically motivated constraints that result in several open problems.
