Abstract

The present paper results from a literature and document survey whose objective was to analyze the knowledge production on the field of leisure related to "non-governmental public policies" (non-governmental organizations, clubs, and conceptual studies) on the issues of Licere magazine from 1999 to 2009. This case study made use of the content analysis technique. The survey showed that the incidence of studies on this subject is still low, although its diversity represents an advance compared with the first ones published in Brazil. Special emphasis should be given to: the comprehensive approach of policies, understood not only in their specificity; the contribution from the different areas of Human Sciences, even though the political science is little used; and the weak methodological explanation, reducing method to a kind of research, mode of observation, and techniques, without specifying its discursive processes.
