However, for Chinese and Asian tourism market, the attraction of Spain and most of its tourist products are limited in historical attractions, city sightseeing and shopping, while its coastal tourism is still to be developed. This paper takes Majorca Island of Spain as an example and is based on the experience of a Chinese tourist mediator in Majorca. It will analyze from the perspective of destination, about attractive characteristics of coastal tourism in Spain, and from the perspective of original market about the needs and preferences of Chinese tourists for coastal tourism. By combining the two aspects, relevant suggestions will be made on how to open the Chinese market for Spanish coastal tourist destinations. This paper tries to provide certain references for the development of tourist sources in Spain and European coastal tourist destinations.
