This article discusses an online community in Indonesia named Lyfe With Less which is one of the largest minimalist communities in Indonesia. Researchers look at how the online minimalist lifestyle community responds to consumerism, which has been a long-standing problem. Consumerism is a term in which a person consumes excessively or inappropriately which is done consciously and sustainably because it is a lifestyle. This consumerism is supported by globalization and the presence of media and popular culture. In this study, the method used is Participatory Action Research where all researchers are directly involved in the research conducted and supported by observation. As a minimalist community, Lyfe With Less has done a lot in addressing consumerism. By using various platforms as a medium to communicate and have dynamics with its members, Lyfe With Less shares various tips and tricks in implementing a minimalist lifestyle, holds webinars and joint discussions as well as several other programs.
