Abstract

La principal hipótesis de este capítulo es explicar como se ha logrado en Cuba una ES con equidad y de calidad mediante políticas de inclusión social. El resultado de estas políticas ha sido el desarrollo científico en el estado del arte conforme a estándares internacionales actuales y una de las tasas de matrícula (61%) más altas de la región.The main intent of this chapter is to explain how Cuba managed to build a higher education which combines equity and quality by means of policies of social inclusion. The result of these policies has been a state of the art scientific development according to current international standards and one of the highest enrollment rates (61%) in the region.
