Abstract

The paper describes the background, aim and realization of virtual information center on the domain of computational linguistics. The Internet provides huge amount of heterogeneous data sources. Human can access all information on the Internet by mouse-clicks. Our virtual information center has been established in order to provide an integrated view on computational linguistics. It consists of three kinds of data: knowledge and information, products and resource, research groups and experts. The main features for human interaction are virtual information management, distributed access, entity-based information retrieval and automatic hyperlink.
