Abstract

The cascade utilization of geothermal energy is a way of rational utilization of energy, which can improve the utilization rate and increase the economic benefit. Based on the preliminary research, Yunnan is rich in geothermal resources, which have been exploited in a single way, and the utilization rate of resources is low. In order to improve the efficiency of geothermal energy utilization, this paper attempted to design a three-stage utilization scheme based on the Dimeite geothermal power station and analyze the efficiency of the cascade system. First, geothermal water is used to generate electricity through an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system. Geothermal water is then supplied to the cold storage through the cooling system, and finally, lower-temperature geothermal water is used in hot springs. By building a model of thermodynamic engineering, the energy utilization rate of the whole cascade system is 65.2%, and the utility coefficient of the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system is 14.5%. Favorable geothermal conditions and suitable cascade utilization systems improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
