The World Summit for Social Development (WSSD) was held in Copenhagen in 1995. The Summit concentrated on four core issues - poverty alleviation, unemployment, social exclusion and an enabling environment for social development. The section contains information from ICSW, other civil society organizations, UN and intergovernmental bodies as well as governmental bodies represented at the WSSD. The section reports on the WSSD and its subsequent implementation and monitoring.
