Abstract

The article analyzes the efficiency of the use of production factors in the G8 countries (G7 and Russia) during the formation of the post-industrial economy. The specificity of labor force reproduction, dynamics of labor productivity and economic growth are revealed. Based on a comparative analysis, the groups of the considered countries are distinguished, and a classification of countries according to several interdependencies according to the type of employment, is proposed. The study showed that the processes in the labor market of the G8 countries are similar. At the same time, there are differences associated with the characteristics of the institutional environment and the level of economic development. The findings of the study can be used as a basis for conducting state economic policy (on the regulation of employment and economic growth).
