Abstract

One way to improve cognitive advantages in online learning is to improve support for collaborative learning in an online environment. We propose a real-time approach to encouraging members of online groups to participate more actively by mirroring individual relative contributions within the group. Our findings suggest that mirroring promotes a number of interactive phenomena that are beneficial to online collaborative learning.
