Abstract

Innovations play a major role in the development of the country in terms of both technology and economy. They involve the creation and transfer of knowledge into a new product or process. Efficient patent analysis allows the R&D team to foster knowledge in the latest technological trends, thereby accelerating the production and impedes patent infringements. This work focuses on analyzing the patent documents through summarization. This proposed work automatically summarizes every patent document based on the search query through extraction and Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM). The resulting summary is evaluated in terms of precision, recall, and F-measure with search queries from different domains and it was found that the proposed system yields better results than open text summarizer.
