Abstract

The paper describes the design of and the considerations for a course programme in mobile robotics at the Technical University of Denmark. An integrated approach was taken designing mobile robot hardware, software and course curricula in an interconnected way. The courses in the programme all feature hands-on elements and competitions to motivate the students and support the learning objectives of the particular course. As the design of such competitions is not trivial some examples and observations are presented. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
