Abstract

Theories including extra space dimensions offer a possible solution to the hierarchy problem of particle physics. An additional effect of these theories is the possibility for axions to propagate in the higher-dimensional space. We explore the potential of the CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST) for testing the presence of large extra dimensions. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
