Abstract

We report the results of a detailed analysis of the problems encountered by blind or vision-impaired persons when accessing web sites which use technologies like, for example, flash animation, JavaScript, HTML 5. We also examine typical accessibility problems found in e-commerce websites, especially in on-line shopping. We check our findings against the WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines and provide detailed recommendations for changes or additions to these guidelines. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
