Abstract

Labels that have been applied to various groups in our society have been found to have a tremendous impact on these people. It is the author's contention that the label "case management" has an adverse impact on the care of mentally ill people. A change in terminology is suggested. Attention is drawn to other issues in mental illness treatment that also require modification. © 1989 Oxford University Press.
