Abstract

The article presents a concept of using an audience response system (ARS) or "clickers", which can run on a mobile, tablet, PDA or PC for enhancing interaction between a lecturer and students in large classrooms. The developed interactive audio response software is based on Joomla! content management system (CMS) and its JVoteSystem component. The article compares results of students' learning outcomes for the students taught with and without question based learning methodology and also with and without using clickers software. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
