Abstract

The accuracy and validity of different types of linear and nonlinear models are discussed. First, single and multiple penstocks plant models are presented. After that, simulation of these models using small steps and large ramps are analysed. The hydraulic coupling between units is also discussed. Next, a comparison with an independent model is presented. Also, the SIMULINK® models used throughout the book are evaluated. Finally, some conclusions are drawn.
