Abstract

In today’s intense competitive environment, businesses focus on improving their systems. Warehouse management is one of the most important areas of supply chain management. The placement of storage areas; directly affects the processes such as receiving, picking and shipment and therefore plays an important role in the elimination of idle areas. In this study, it is aimed to develop a model that maximizes the storage area utilization efficiency for 3 different product groups of an enterprise operating in the white goods sector. The model is solved by using goal programming.
