Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To assess the benefits and the potential adverse effects, including cancer, of folate supplementation, either in folic acid form or in 5-methyltetrahydrofolate form, alone or in combination with other micronutrients, on folate status and health outcomes (physical, psychological, and neurocognitive) among women of reproductive age.
