Abstract

The article offers information on how a patient-centered teaching hospital was able to address the management for hearing loss caused by cancer treatment. Topics covered include the collaboration of audiologists with cancer-care professionals to manage ototoxic chemotherapy, the role of audiologists in monitoring and managing the risk of hearing loss and tinnitus posed by the anti-cancer drug cisplatin, and the contributions of the head and neck cancer care team in caring for patients.
