Abstract

This paper aims at specifying procedures and patterns for developing high-quality reusable requirements and for engineering new requirements documents with reuse. Formalization of the requirements is a promising approach to validating requirements in the reuse process. It improves the consistency, correctness, and completeness of reusable requirements. This paper reviews the current research on reuse and requirements formalization. Based on a strategy that introduces formalization into systematic requirements reuse, we present patterns for activities on formalization-based requirements reuse. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
