Abstract

An interview with historian Noam Chomsky in 2016 is presented. When asked on the pre-World War II anti-Semitism and Nazism in the U.S., he replies that it was part of life then, and that an immigration law was directed against Jews and Italians. Chomsky notes that the State Department described German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler as a moderate between the right and left forces in 1937. He states that U.S. President Bill Clinton authorized oil shipments to Haiti's military junta in the 1990s.
