Abstract

The main contribution of this paper is the proposal of deliveryof e-health services which fully draws from recent achievements in the areas of networking, signaling and distributed application development. Moreover,we present a fully functional prototype implementation of a system in which the proposed solution was evaluated. Our prototype includes QoS-aware e-health services supported by a signaling system of Next Generation Networks (NGN) with the new NGN e-health service component. Experimental evaluation of the proposed signaling scheme that supports QoS guarantees of e-health services is also presented in this paper.
